Hi there,
I am writing to try and find out who I need to get in touch with within Vox, to discuss problems with Valvetronix Tone Room software. I live in New Zealand. I have emailed the N. Z. Agent for Vox, but have got no reply. I recently bought a Vox VT40X amp from a local dealer in New Zealand. While I am very happy with the amp, I am very disappointed with the Tone Room software / stock amp presets. The volume jumps horrendously when changing amp presets, using the amp models switch. I would have thought that using Tone Room, a user would be able to edit the stock presets, so as to balance the volume level, or make other changes to those presets. I am quite aware that there are eight x "User Presets" built into the amp, which allows saving of instant access presets. While that is helpful, it means that if you want to use the amp model switch, to access the variety of amp presets - AB and C, the volume levels are so different, that it makes using the switch hazardous. I wanted to at least be able to raise my concerns regarding the product, with someone who could answer my question regarding the possibility of making changes to the software. It would be great to enable more user friendly access to all aspects of the amp - like Fender Fuse software allows - with the Mustang amp series. Can you please forward this email on to the appropriate person(s) to make them aware of the issue. I'm am quite aware from Internet forums, that I am not the only customer who is very unhappy with the volume discrepancy issues. I have discussed it on several guitar and amp forums. Thank you.
