Whitby is a town located in the Durham Region. As of 2011, population of the Whitby was 122,022 whereas area of land is 146.53 km square. Whitby Town Council is the Governing Body and is located in Southern Ontario east of Ajax on the north shore of Lake Ontario. The town was founded in 1835 by Peter Perry. Whitby was the location of Camp X, a secret spy training facility established by Sir William Stephenson during Second World War.
