Firstly, it manufactured its first car in 1914, known with 'DAT'. With the passage of time, the company changed its name to DAT Jidosha and Co Ltd in 1925. Again, it was renamed to Nissan Motor Co Ltd in 1934. In 1999, Nissan made an agreement with Reanault, a French automobile company to produce its automobiles jointly under the name Renault-Nissan. With the growth of the company, Nissan Motor Corporation expanded its automobile business in the areas of United States, Canada and Mexico.
