The Ninoy Aquino International Airport is a public airport situated in Paranaque and Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. The airport is owned and managed by Manila International Airport Authority which is a state-owned transport agency. The Ninoy Aquino International Airport is also known with the name of 'Manila International Airport'. It is a major hub for six airlines namely Cebu Pacific, Tigerair Philippines, PAL Express, Philippines AirAsia, Airasia Zest and Philippine Airlines. It serves Manila and the surrounding areas. The name of the airport was given after Senator Benigno Ninoy Aquino Jr. It is the one of the busiest airports throughout the world, in the terms of passengers. As of 2013, The Ninoy Aquino International Airport handled more than 32,865,000 passengers. It has two runways namely 06/24 and 13/31. The Airport also provides Cargo services through eleven airlines. The Ninoy Aquino International Airport has four terminals: Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3 and Terminal 4. Terminal 1 was created in 1981 which is spread in an area of around 720,000 square feet. Maximum international flights are handled by this terminal. Terminal 2 was established in 1999 which is also called as Centennial Terminal. It covers an area of about 810,000 square feet. This terminal handles only Philippine Airlines. Terminal 3 is also known with NAIA-3 that was founded in 1997. Its floor area is approximately 1,964,000 square feet which has 34 air bridges and 20 contact gates. Moving toward its Terminal 4 that is used by only domestic flights. This terminal is also known as 'Manila Domestic Passenger Terminal'.
