University of Mumbai or Mumbai University was established on 18th July 1857 at Mumbai, Maharashtra. It is a public university affiliated to UGC, Aiu and NAAC. It serves education for doctoral, bachelor and master’s degree in the areas of science, law, commerce, management, arts, engineering and many more. The University is having two campuses i.e. Kalina campus resides in suburban Mumbai and Fort campus resides near southern end of the Mumbai. Kalina campus provides on-campus graduate training along with research centres. It consists of several departments offering education in technology, humanities, science, commerce, etc. There are many institutional centres are positioned at kalian campus that includes Department of Biophysics, Garware Institute of career education & development, National centre for nanosciences & nanotechnology, MUST, Alkesh Dinesh mody institute and many more. On the other side, Fort campus is meant to serve the purpose of administration responsibilities of the university. Fort campus is designed in a gothic style where Rajabai Clock Tower positioned in the lawn of the campus. Rajabai Clock tower is one of the famous landmarks of the Mumbai.
