DSHS Spokane is a branch or work place of the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) in Spokane, United States. Dshs is a government agency working under Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). The headquarters of the department is located in the second largest U.S. state Texas.
DSHS Formation
The department was made by House Bill 2292 of the 78th Texas Governing body in 2003 by the consolidation of four state agencies namely the Texas Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation, Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Texas Department of Health, and Texas Health Care Information Council.

DSHS serves the eleven regions of Texas state. It is commissioned as the leading agency within the HHSC for emergency situations. The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) work to provide state-operated health care services, including mental hospitals, health centers, State Health Laboratory.
