Carver Bank History
The history of Carver Bank was started with the opening of its first branch in Harlem, New York located at 53 West 125th Street on January 5, 1949. The bank came into existence as Carver Federal Savings and Loan Association with its head office. In second month of 1961, it opened its branch in Brooklyn, New York, and September month of same year also acquired the certificate of Merit from the City of New York. In 1986, the bank became a federal savings bank and modified its name into Carver Federal Savings Bank.

Carver Bank is headquartered at 75 West 125th Street. It was destroyed in a fire accident in October 1992 and it was re-constructed in March 1996. As of mid-2014, the bank has network of 17 ATM locations and 10 exclusive branches in New York.
