The Carolina Place Mall is a largest shopping centre that is situated in Parkway, Pineville. Carolina Place Mall is a famous shopping, entertainment and Dining place for millions in North Carolina. The mall is operated by the General Growth Properties, a real estate investment trust based in the United States. Carolina Place Mall has five principal stores, which are: Sears, Belk, JCPenney, Dillard's, and Macy's. Carolina Place Mall is spread in an area of 1,200,000-square-foot (110,000 m2).
History
The planning of Carolina Place Mall was started More Than thirty years ago. The mall was started by The Belk and Ivey's families with a land of $8.5 million. Later, Ivey's sold own land to Bell, and the planning of mall started in the mid-1980s. It was originally opened with four stores for the Citizens of the North Carolina in 1991. After two years, one new store, named Hecht's (now Macy's) opened within the mall that was the mall's fifth anchor store. As of 2014, there are over 133 stores.

There are several features within the mall which include ATM, Children's Play Area, Family Restroom, and Lost and Found, Nursing Lounge, Safety Escorts, Santa Pagers, Soft Seating Area, Stroller Rental, Transportation Schedules, Wheelchair Service and Mall Gift Cards. The Mall Gift Cards service is available for shoppers at the self-serve kiosk, which is located on the lower level and beside the food court escalator. The shopper can get Mall Gift Cards only after any denomination from $20 to $200 dollars. The opening timings of the Carolina Place Mall: Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 09:00 pm, and Sunday from 12:00 pm to 06:00 pm.
