I am using canned Salomon 2552P BR214 which shows a net weight on the can of 14. 75 Oz, which is not correct. The gross weight is one lb 1. one oz, the weight of the can is 2. five oz the contents including all liquid is 14. six oz, after the fluid is drained the weight of the salmon is 11. nine oz. You could only come near to the 14. 75 oz net weight if you include the liquid that the salmon is packed in, which is not used, but is drained off. So as I calculate the actual cost per oz, it is actually much higher. I also clean the salmon of bones and skin, leaving a true net weight of 9. four oz I think this is dishonest, and most consumers would agree with me.
