BookRenter in 2010 announced to make its first international expansion with the opening of online stores at 11 schools in Canada. For this purpose, it partnered with Follett. The company in March 2012 changed its name to Rafter, Inc., unaffecting its other operations. In the June of the same year, the company completed the acquisition of a software company HubEdu.
