COMPLAINT RMA USG1685770 1. On August 26, 2016, I received FedEx notification that my $2, 000 laptop had been delivered to the Milpitas, CA repair facility. 2. I received no communication from Asus customer service until I called on August 30, 2016. That evening, I received a price quote for the repair. 3. On August 31, I requested a discount since my laptop is less than a year old and still under warranty. That evening, I received an adjusted price quote back-dated to Aug. 30. 4. On September one, 2016 (before 8:00 a. M.), I received an email claiming that my payment was two days overdue. 5. On September one, Asus customer service promised that my laptop would be repaired within three to five business days and that I would receive an email notification when the repair was complete. 6. On September nine, 2016, I contacted customer service to find out why the repair was not complete. I spoke with a Mexican woman who identified herself as the customer service manager. She could not provide a status update, but said she had notified the repair center that I had called to "follow up" on the repair. I sent my laptop to Asus with the understanding that the diagnostics and repair would take one week. I was unaware that the BBB has received *thousands* of complaints about Asus not honoring warranties and service agreements, taking months to complete repairs after promising a three to five-day turn around. You have failed to honor your service agreement. If I do not receive notification that the repair is complete and my laptop is on its way back to me by Monday, September 12, 2016, I will charge Asus with computer theft. I will contact the BBB, the State Attorney General, and I will sue Asus for a new laptop identical to the one stolen.
