Wardha medical college or the Mahatma Gandhi institute of medical sciences is a first of a kind rural medical college situated in sevagram a village at a distance from the City of wardha in state of Maharashtra. This college is managed by the kasturba health society and is affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in nashik. This college intakes 100 students per year through an entrance test conducted by the institute itself which includes multiple Choice questions on physics, chemistry, biology and paper on Gandhian thoughts. It also provides the professional excellence in the field of teaching following the integrated pattern of medical education. It was started by dr. sushila nayyar who was a medical graduate in order to impart education in the field of medical sciences to the students.
