Tagore Medical College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu is a private medical college which offers MBBS Course. The college is affiliated to the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University. It is managed by the Tagore Educational trust which is a registered trust established by Prof. Mala Jagathrakshagan under the society Act in 1977. The trust believes in providing fair opportunities by executing charitable and educational services to the middle class linguistic minority telgu community. Apart from the Tagore Medical College the trust has four other educational institutes running under them which include Tagore Engineering College, Tagore Dental College, Tagore College of Arts and Science, Hilton Matriculation and Higher Secondary School.
Tagore Medical College is located in a 50 acre campus in Rathinamangalam, Vandalur, Chennai and was started in the year 2010 and undertakes training and teaching of students for undergraduate course of MBBS which is recognised by the Medical Council of India. The number of available seats in the college are 150 for its five and a half year duration course of MBBS. The medical college has a 415 bedded hospital attached to it which has well experienced and dedicated staff for patient care and training and teaching of medical students.
