The Moncton stadium is a track that is situated in the campus of University de Moncton in New Brunswick in Canada. The IAAF 2010 World Junior championships in Athletics show was hosted in Moncton Stadium in 2010. Earlier 28,000 seats were available in the stadium and today the seating capacity of the stadium has increased. Today, in the stadium 10,000 seats are installed permanently and above 20,000 seats are installed and they can be removed anytime.
Different types of events are held every time in the stadium. In 2010, the stadium was occupied for the event ‘Edmonton Eskimos’. The stadium consists of a Plain surface below and green Grass is laid on the top. This stadium is also used to host the soccer games played by university students.
The construction of the stadium began since April, 2009 and was completed in 2010. The first event that was held in the stadium was the 2010 Junior Championship in Athletics. The event ‘Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Game was held in November 2009 when the construction was not completely over.
Since then many major events took place in the stadium till today. In 2011 two major football events took place and were named as ‘touchdown Atlantic 2’ and Uteck Bowl. In 2012, a major soccer event was held between China and Canada and it was a friendly event. In 2015, many soccer events are to be held in June by the FIFA. In 2010, two track and field events were held in July.
