Kwantlen Polytechnic University is also known with its abbervation of KPU. KPU is a public coeducational institute which has four campuses namely- Cloverdale, Richmond, Surrey and Langley. Surrey Campus is the main campus of the university which is located in 72nd Avenue Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. Kwantlen Polytechnic University is affiliated to AUCC, IAU, ACCC, ACU, CBIE and CUP. The institute offers numerous certificate, diploma and associate degree programs to the students such as Anthropology, Business, Biology, Criminology, Design, English, History, Horticulture, Information Technology, Journalism, Music, Nursing, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology and Visual Arts. KPU has more than 1600 academic staff and 19,500 students. The university has adopted The Eagle as mascot. Kwantlen Polytechnic University was setup in 1981 under the name of Kwantlen and renamed in 2008 to Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
